We are Schoonderwoerd. Since 1945 we have specialized in the import and export of lamb, mutton, beef and venison, mainly from New Zealand and Australia. Our customers are located in the European market and include cash & carries, wholesalers, catering suppliers, butchers, retail and the meat processing industry.

For decades we have been working with our partners, both with suppliers and with customers, as a result where close relationships have been built. We are therefore strongly focused on service, quality and the relationship. We visit our suppliers are regularly to discuss the cooperation and production, among other things.

Because Schoonderwoerd is a family owned business, the lines are short and the atmosphere is optimal. You work in a close team of approximately 20 people, with a group turnover of 120 million euros. We have 10 colleagues at the office of which 3 are working at the purchase and sales division.

To further expand our strong market position, we are looking for an enthusiastic:

Sales Manager Europe

As a Sales Manager Europe, you maintain contact with existing relationships and you are active in identifying and creating new purchasing and sales opportunities. Your heart lies with the company, your colleagues and our beautiful products. You work in a structured way and are able to make a clear market analysis and adjust your approach accordingly.

 

Your new job?

·        Frequent contact with existing customers

·        Identifying and actively approaching potential customers

·        Keeping your knowledge of the market up to date so that you can adequately respond to changes in supply and prices

·        Discuss new possibilities with customers and develop them on your own responsibility

·        Flexible working within a dynamic team: we achieve results together

·        Visiting trade fairs and realizing new opportunities with the knowledge and potential relationships gained there

·        Managing the sales team and supporting your colleagues

·        Consult strategically and make a plan to conquer the market

 

This is you:

·        Bachelor’s degree working and thinking level

·        Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken and written)

·        Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP software

·        In addition to English you master another language (preferably German) in word and writing

·        You have international sales experience, both by email, telephone, and in person

·        You are customer-oriented and see commercial opportunities

·        You are result-oriented and proactive and you involve your colleagues in the initiatives you develop

·        You are young at heart and have good communication skills

·        You like your work and don’t have a 9 to 5 mentality
